Morning Skin Care Routine

Hey, everyone. My name is Heather, and today I'm going to be showing you my morning skincare routine using my Epicuren products. I was first introduced to the line by a friend about three years ago. I have combination skin with a few dry patches and recently started noticing a few fine lines develop. Today I'm going to go over dehydration and wrinkle prevention techniques for combination skin.

Step 1 - Cleansing

I'm going to start my routine by cleansing my face using Epicuren Discovery's Herbal Cleanser. I'll apply about a dime size into my hands and add a little water to work into a nice foamy lather. Then I'll apply it to the face, massaging it in, giving myself a mini morning massage. This is a super gentle cleanser that's great for morning and night. It gives my skin a nice thorough cleanse without stripping away moisture or making my skin feel too dry. It contains vitamins and antioxidants, along with white birch bark to soothe and purify. Then I'm going to remove with a damp towel and get ready for my next step.

Step 2 - Toning

After cleansing, I always tone my face. Toning for me is a must because it brings your skin's pH into balance, which helps your skin absorb the serums and moisturizers better. This Colostrum Hydrating Mist is a refreshing and hydrating toner packed with nutrients and antioxidants. Colostrum is great for the skin because it has immune-boosting nutrients that help nurture the skin. I do about two to three pumps, just enough to cover the face and neck.

Step 3 - Peptides

Next, I'm going to share with you my newest obsession: the Ultima Peptide Complex. This product is a vital part of my routine because as we age, our skin's collagen starts to break down. Peptides help prepare and boost the collagen and the elastin in our skin. For those of you who don't know, collagen is what gives our skin that plump look. I'll start with a dime-size amount, applying this all over my face and neck area, paying special attention to areas of concern. Keep in mind that Ultima Peptide is great for both morning and nighttime use.

Step 4 - Eye Cream

Now for a moment of truth, I am not a morning person and eye cream is my best friend, especially on those really tough mornings before my coffee. This Epicuren Eye Cream works great for me because it contains the Epicuren enzymes, which help rejuvenate the skin and de-puff the under-eye area. It also has chamomile extract and vitamin E to nourish and moisturize the area. I like to do a tapping motion when applying my eye cream, being super gentle as the skin is more delicate around the eyes.

Step 5 - Moisturizer

Next, I'm going to moisturize using the Nourish Daily Antioxidant Moisturizer. This lotion is nice and light and gives my skin a luminous glow. The cucumber extract helps to tone in from the skin while the chamomile and cranberry extract help to tone down any redness.

Step 6 - Reef Safe Sunscreen

Last but not least, I can't leave the house without this guy. I will finish with the Zinc Oxide Perfecting Sunscreen. This sunblock is a lightweight formula and protects skin from UV exposure. It contains a daisy extract, which is a natural pigment corrector to help brighten my skin, and hyaluronic acid, which provides extra hydration. This sunblock leaves my skin with a nice matte finish and now I'm ready to take on my day.

All right, you guys. That completes my routine using my Epicuren products. If you have any questions on any of the products I used today, comment below and have a groovy day.
