Q&A

May I ask why you added cetearyl alcohol to this product? I’ve always heard to avoid moisturizers with alcohol in it as it’s drying. I’ve used this product for years and older bottles did not contain alcohol.
Hello Absolutely we can answer this question for you. Cetearyl Alcohol is a fatty alcohol and works as an emollient which helps the skin to feel soft. It also helps to stabilize oil and water emulsions, however, it is not necessarily considered an emulsifier. Although chemically speaking, it is alcohol, its properties are totally different from the low molecular weight of drying alcohols. Since fatty alcohols work as an emollient, it makes them absolutely non-drying, non-irritating, and are beneficial for the skin. We hope you find this answer to be helpful!
I’m almost 11 weeks pregnant & just realized that this has Retinyl in it (I’ve been using it until today) 😩 My understanding is that I now need to find a different (non Retinyl) option. Other suggestions that will be safe during pregnancy?
Hello there! First of all, congrats!!! 2nd - as with any product used while pregnant, please be sure to consult a physician first. But, the only ones that we can recommend are ones that do not contain the Metadermabolic Enzyme Protein complex. So here is what I recommend in order of recommendation: 1. Colostrum Luminous Glow Cream 2. Nourish Daily Antioxidant Moisturizer 3. Brazilian Propolis Lotion
Can I use this with my obagi tretinoin cream?
Hi there! Yes, you can definitely use the Facial Emulsion with your . tretinoid cream. However, if you do get a little dry and/or flaky from the tretinoid you could add in the Moisture Surge and/or Defy age Facial Oil.
